The vegetables, which are particularly widespread in the Mediterranean, are true all-rounders in terms of aroma and taste.


Leeks are also known as leeks. It is a vegetable that is about 60 to 80 cm long, 1 to 4 cm in diameter and is related to onions, garlic and wild garlic.


Leek has been grown in the Mediterranean for over 4,000 years. To date, most of the leek deliveries come from Europe and the Mediterranean region.

Leek is a classic winter vegetable and is usually freshly harvested from October to March. But there is also the so-called summer leek - this can be found in supermarkets all year round.
